Yoweri Museveni : The reflective repentance of a Cruel Dictator

Sourced Yoweri Museveni

The Ugandan Dictator Yoweri Museveni has begun to reflect on the torture style of the Police and the security agents in Uganda and has recently condemned the manner with which these security agents carry out their duties against the citizens, In what sounded like the reflection of old age and the trepidation of a superior Judgement

"Uganda's President, Yoweri Museveni, has, for the first time since his reelection in January, publicly rebuked the country’s security forces for using excessive violence on citizens. In a recent televised national address, President Museveni said: "nobody should beat any Ugandan; the use of torture is unnecessary and wrong," adding that police brutality damages the country's legitimacy. "There should be no killing of any Ugandan for any reason, other than in war or when condemned in court." Museveni's statements came after the opposition said their supporters disappeared or died following a violent election crackdown.
As reassuring as those words might be, what more should Museveni do to ensure justice for the victims of election violence?" Source DW
